just a few more days...............

Is your tree up?  Have you decorated, or like me a little more last minuet?  We have a mixture of ornaments on our tree, some homemade, some beautifully handmade, collected over the years and Miss T chooses at least 1 decoration every year as a family tradition.  We have made all sorts of felt decorations, paper and gingerbread, Nigella's Christmas biscuits were popular until Flo arrived as a puppy and used to derive great pleasure form plucking biscuits from the tree!

I just adore the snow dome biscuits and am planning a baking session on Friday as there are so many things I need to do.  An order to deliver and lots of finishing for me to work on.

Thoughts have turned to a little light embroidery but I am I think being over optimistic!  Dome inspired like my last post.

Although I think a little sewing with paper and sweets may be more easily finished in time for Father Christmas to deliver.

The baby quilt was finished and then washed (mmm not to sure about the results), it had a vintage look after as the batting inside shrank.  A quick question do you wash your fabrics before and the batting?
and before
Anyway they loved the quilt, especially the fabric!  So that's brilliant.  Are you nearly ready for the festivities ahead?

Nearly ready, but still things to do. And I like the shrunken wrinkly quilt look - I don't prewash, deliberately so I can get them looking like yours. It's lovely! I don't think I'm going to be getting mine finished by Christmas day, but that's OK.

Everything looks so fantastic! I am still making gifts and candy! It will have to be finished at some point though!

Quilt looks great. Are the squares appliqué or log cabin sort of thing?
Don't remind me only a few days left. I have gone down with a stomach bug given to me by the 7 year old and now trying to work out if the others come down with it, will we be clear for the big day!
